ABOUT OUR NOELANI PRINT
Translating to mean ‘Heavenly Mist,’ Noelani is a rain-inspired collection created to honor my mother, Natalie Noelani.
Inspired by the mist that settles in Waimea, our Kauhiwailani print signifies the progression of Legacy. By fusing the natural, traditional flow of gradient color with a modern approach to expressing falling mist through graphic design, I blend generations, both old and new. These layers of design respectfully represent my great-grandmother, Angeline Kauhiwai, and my beautiful Niece, who I dedicate this print to, Kauhiwailani.
It is my hope that by drawing inspiration from my mother’s grandmother, daughter and granddaughter, and infusing them within this print, I can truly honor her, her name and her legacy.
